Community Service
Finch McCranie, LLP is dedicated to being of service to the Atlanta, Georgia community. In many cases, we offer our legal services free of charge. Our personal injury lawyers also perform many other kinds of community service, including:
- We founded a volunteer lawyer program that offers free legal aid to military families in Georgia that have soldiers serving in Afghanistan and Iraq.
- Our lawyers are "on call" to Georgia ministers. We provide legal counsel to them regarding the legal issues that they and their Church members face. Our work with Georgia ministers is free of charge.
- Our lawyers give pro bono legal services to a number of non-profit groups and homeless shelters in the Atlanta, Georgia community.
- Our attorneys teach and train new lawyers in Atlanta, Georgia by giving speeches and writing articles for CLE programs, including programs on Ethics and Professionalism.
- Our attorneys are on the boards of numerous community organizations.
- Our attorneys do volunteer work for community service groups, such as the Young Adult Guidance Center, Habitat for Humanity, Hands on Atlanta, and other service groups.
- Our law firm has created a free public education program on protecting the elderly from becoming victims of fraud. We developed this free program based on our legal work representing elderly clients that were being defrauded.
- Finally, we would like to share a few thoughts from Concordia University-Wisconsin Assistant Professor of History John Horgan about the legal system, because it captures many of the reasons why we do what we do.
